When Mindpatrol was founded in the summer of 2012, the band had to take a solid nosedive with its debut record Downfall Theatre first, even though the idea behind the band sounded great on paper : combine challenging Progressive Metal with compelling melodies and a solid amount of heaviness in order to solely create concept albums.
The Marble Fall, the successor, which was released in 2015, showed Mindpatrol from a more mature side and allowed them to play numerous live shows, which quickly erased the youthful carelessness and awoke a hunger for more.
This appetite lead to the creation of Vulture City, a new concept album that tells the story of an orphaned pair of siblings, living in a dystopian future. Mindpatrol are painting a world, in which humanity is on the brink of extinction and has to question itself about what's more important : free will or a safe place to live.
Vulture City was produced by Sebastian Levermann (Orden Ogan) at the Greenman Studios and the album will be explored further in the form a German novel written by vocalist Luc François.
Together with their friends Feradur, Desdemonia as well as German special guests Awaiting Downfall, Mindpatrol plan to celebrate the release of their new album on December 9th, when they will play the new album in its entirety.
