In order to support new and upcoming talents throughout Europe, in times where the music industry is among those who have suffered the most from the sanitary crisis, Luxembourg’s public service radio 100,7 and Kulturfabrik have joined forces to organize a serie of radio live sessions named Aircheck. For the third edition, we are happy to welcome the belgian band Great Mountain Fire. Their gig will be broadcasted live on radio 100,7.
Back from touring, the musicians of Great Mountain Fire met up in a wooden house in the south of Brussels to build the foundations of “Movements “, their third album. The whole record follows a nomadic genesis and redefines the boundaries of the band productions. Great Mountain Fire is once again shaking modern indie pop’s palm tree. If they share some similarities with Tame Impala, Parcels or Metronomy, the songs of “Movements" abound with finds from vintage funk, a place of groove and emotion. In this post-disco trip, synthesizers spread like rainbows and undulating guitars embrace wadding sensual moods.
For years, radio 100,7 and Kulturfabrik have played an important role in showcasing new talent. This new project is a logical step in the continued support of the local scene and in helping emerging artists to be heard in Luxembourg and abroad.
