La Fabrik des Francofolies

The Francofolies Fabrik project is in line with the missions of the Francofolies Esch/Alzette and aims to support the emergence of artists from Luxembourg’s new music scene. 

As in the last two years, two artists will be selected and will benefit from a personalized support program consisting of 3 MAIN AXES:

• COACHING in a program to prepare them for the stage, through work in residence, meetings and exchanges supervised by a team of professionals;
• PERSONALIZED ADVICE on the professional environment, to help them improve their understanding of their own structure in relation to their objectives and the music market; 
• PROGRAMME on one of the Francofolies Esch/Alzette stages, while promoting identification with a network of professionals, as well as with partner venues and festivals.

Which artist? Who can apply?

The project is primarily aimed at artists in the process of becoming professional artists who need additional support to launch their professional careers. The program will be adapted to the specific needs of each artist, in order to provide the most appropriate solutions. 

ARTIST SELECTION CRITERIA 

• Artists with musical ties and activities in Luxembourg (home or residence); 
• Artists with previous stage experience; 
• Preference will be given to artists with professional ambitions.

METHODOLOGY

• MEETING BETWEEN ARTISTS AND PROFESSIONNALS : The two selected artists will meet with various professionals and stakeholders for an initial discussion to get to know each other and identify their needs. 
• ENVIRONMENT / MILIEU / ATMOSPHERE : We will organize the event to ensure that everyone involved can create the conditions for a friendly and creative reception.
• AFTERMOVIE : A report will be produced to follow the artists throughout the process, from their first meetings to their performance at the Francofolies Esch/Alzette festival. 
• PLACES TO WORK AND CREATE : Through its partners, the project will be able to offer top-quality reception and support services. The venues, recording studios, support structures and bilateral links between Francofolies will provide musicians with a complete and pleasant working environment.

PROGRAM

• 1 week of stage work from March 25 to 30 
• 4 days will be devoted to stage and personal work
• 1 day will be devoted to the artist’s environment (career, objectives, media strategies, tour manager, publisher...) 

Highlights

Between January and March, thematic meetings organized by the Chantier des Francofolies de La Rochelle (SACEM, Spotify, styling, etc.) will be offered to selected artists. 

How to apply ?

To apply, simply send us before the 01/12/2023 : 

• A statement of your motivation, specifying the reasons for your application, your development ambitions, your current environment (management, label, etc.), your current record and tour schedule (if any), your musical style and the number of members in your band. 
• A link to listen to your music. 
• A link to a live video (if possible).
