The Squadfabrik is a short-term artist residency programme launched in 2020, in the midst of the global pandemic. Following its success, the project has become a staple at the Kultufabrik and is back for its 7th edition on 6 April 2026.
Three pairs of artists (always consisting of one local artist and one artist based in Europe) will be in residence at KuFa between April and July 2026.
A Get-Out (a residency showcase and presentation of works-in-progress) is organised at the end of each month of the residency. This is an opportunity for the public to discover the artists’ work and engage with them.
Screenings during each residency provide food for thought and an opportunity to discover new artistic and socially engaged films.
For this edition, we are hosting the collective “La Dynamique des Choses”, which will offer a workshop on the 25/04 in Parc Laval. A collaborative performance will follow during the Out of the Crowd Festival: Squatfabrik Performance Day.
