After two artistic residencies, first at Casino Luxembourg and then at Kulturfabrik, the musicians Nataša Grujović and Steve Moore will perform at Kulturfabrik on March 4th.
The Luxembourgish accordion master and the American trombone and keyboard player met in January 2020 during a concert at Kulturfabrik. The two were performing as part of an evening which featured the music of American drone band sunnO))), for which Moore had played for 15 years. Nataša Grujović was opening the concert with her friend Steve Kaspar. The three experimental artists then felt the urge to work together. Unfortunately, life and ultimately death, intervened with the onset of the global pandemic and the sudden passing of Steve Kaspar in October 2020. Grujović and Moore persevered and created this experimental music duo.
Inspired by the timeless and traditional Balkan melodies, the music of the Italian choral madrigal composer Carlo Gesualdo and the archaic primacy of drone, they are creating new compositions and are working on Steve Kaspar’s final piece. Come and discover the meeting of their creative minds during this unique concert at Kufa!
