Océane Feld is a queer feminist artist from Eastern France who specialises in silver-based photography. Above all, she is a committed activist in her artistic projects.
In a bright, colourful world, she explores a range of social issues and subjects, from the notion of gender and beauty diktats to the plurality of relationships as well as the ecology. She aims to make the viewer thinks about these norms when confronted by them. Her work serves both to document her daily life and to show her testimony about her existence in a cisgender and heteronormative society. Photography is her tool for fighting and speaking out against the systemic oppression and violence suffered by minorities, particularly the LGBTQI+ community, of which she is a member.
The vernissage will be followed by a concert by Luxembourg artist Noah.
This exhibition will be open from July 6 to September 16, during Ratelach opening hours (Tuesday to Saturday, 5pm to 1am).
