CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS & FOR FANZINES FOR "THE CAPSULE" PROJECT
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS & FOR FANZINES FOR "THE CAPSULE" PROJECT

The members of the "La Capsule" project need YOU: both as volunteers to help them with their project for a low-tech travelling documentary in Luxembourg, and as donors of fanzines and micro-publishing creations!

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS:

If you're looking for human, artistic and itinerant adventures to develop new ecological and social imaginations, this project is for you! For 4 months, from 01.05.2024 to 01.09.2024, we'll be setting off on foot from Esch-Sur-Alzette (Luxembourg) to cross the country and its surroundings and see where our encounters take us. Along the way, we'll be shooting a low-tech, participatory road-movie about human beings, their dreams, their fears and the paths that lead us to meet them. The documentary, the script for which will be written as we go along, will mix reality and fiction. We'll be travelling with a mobile caravan containing everything we need to (over)live and make the film.

To take part, you have to be prepared to: walk a lot, sleep in a tent, eat half-cooked food sometimes, not charge your phone for days on end and give up your daily shower. But above all: you'll meet some wonderful people, experience a whole new adventure, take part in making an experimental film, learn lots about self-sufficiency and share the magic.

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, drop us a line at capsule_team@riseup.net, telling us about your availability, your motivations and your talents (whatever they may be!) and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Important: a minimum of 15 days' participation is recommended for general organisation and group cohesion.

If you'd like to find out more about our work, visit these websites:

We need your help to make this extraordinary project a reality!

CALL FOR FANZINES :

In a society divided by nationalism, fundamentalisms and fear, where the world as we know it is threatened by major climate change, we desperately need new imaginaries and to invent other ways of living. Through a low-tech, participatory, evolving and itinerant documentary-fiction, we are going to question environmental, societal and artistic concerns, in order to create new visions of the near future and develop alternative stories that will help us reconnect with each other and the world we live in. The idea is to create a travelling library that is democratic and affordable, without losing quality. That's why we're looking for DIY & DIT fanzines on: ecology, economics, anarchist / sociocratic organisation, speculative fiction, art, poetry, all kinds of feminism(s), abolitionism, deep ecology...

Languages: Luxembourgish / English / French / German / Spanish / Portuguese or Drawings
You can send them to us either in pdf format to capsule_team@riseup.net, or by post (please request a postal address by email).
