The time has come ! Them Lights, Associate Artist at Kulturfabrik, will play his first gig at Kufa since the beginning of his residency. Many premieres will take place during this concert. The multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer and songwriter Sacha Hanlet will : perform a brand new live set, present half a dozen unreleased tracks and will play with his new drummer, Sacha Piccoli, for the first time.
Them Lights is a dark tunnel of 80s reminiscence flashes and modern electronica. Sacha Hanlet correlates in a wide range of genres from pulsating electronica, dark pop to soulful R’n’B. Having toured the world as the drummer of the math-rock band Mutiny On The Bounty for almost two decades, it wasn't until 2017 that he started to produce his very own sounds and explore his eternal love for arpeggios, 80’s synthesizers and groove. A series of singles leading to his debut EP are scheduled for 2022.
Them Lights' residency at Kufa began in March 2021 and will end in March 2024. This concert is the perfect opportunity to see all the work done during his first year of residency.

Concert organized in collaboration with Kultur | lx and the Rocklab, members of the support committee of Them Lights' Artist-Associate residency
Kulturfabrik called upon Kultur | lx to join the support committee of the residency. Within this committee, Kultur | lx, as part of its mission to support the career development of Luxembourg artists and creatives, provided advice to the artist on the internationalization of his project. The aim is to assist the artist and the Kulturfabrik in their project export strategy by sharing the team's expertise on this issue. Regular exchanges are organized in order to discuss the project's promotion strategy abroad, to exchange on the different potential markets and to give advice on the development and directions to take for the project. Kultur | lx also has the role of connecting the artist and the Kulturfabrik to the industry on an international level.
In order to increase the impact of the Artist-Associate residency of Them Lights, the Kulturfabrik called upon the Rocklab for its expertise in terms of accompaniment, advice and promotion of the Luxembourg music sector. Within the support committee, which pools the skills of the various partners, Rocklab provides advice to the artist on the development and structuring of their project, directing them to specific training and information sessions (singing, stage work, etc.) and existing mechanisms (grants, master classes, etc.). In addition to this, there are exchanges and meetings, notably within the framework of stage residencies, in order to determine and identify the artistic needs of the project as well as the next actions to be carried out (live video, stage coaching).
