KUFA FEIERT SEIN 40+1-JÄHRIGES JUBILÄUM
A 40+1 anniversary may sound strange, but you know us: at Kufa we like to do things differently!
Before we reveal what's in store for you in October, it's worth remembering why we are celebrating our anniversary this way...
Our story begins in 1981, when the cultural centre was still just a squat. It wasn't until 1983 that Kufa officially became a non-profit organisation. Then it reopened in 1998. That's three anniversaries in the space of two decades! So when we celebrate an anniversary here, what exactly are we celebrating? The answer in 2024 is: 40+1, the birth of the non-profit-organisation (plus one year).
40+1 years of music, theatre, art, parties, laughter and tears, history and legends. So let's take a moment together to look back and create memories for the future. To do this, we've put together the best of the Kufa: concerts, performances, lectures, installations, festivities and workshops for all ages. In short, a wide range of ways to get involved in the past, the present and the future of Kufa.
